Bullets and Brass
Where Reloading Is Our Specialty!!!!!!
25 Caliber (.257) Reloading Bullets. Commonly called quarter bore. Reloading bullets for various medium and small medium game calibers such as .25-20 Winchester, .257 Roberts AKA “Bob”, .25-06 Remington, .250-3000 Savage, .257 Weatherby Magnum, and other various rifles that utilize .257" bullets. While the .25-20 is a small game cartridge common in 1892 lever rifles, the .205-3000 Savage was the first commercial round to break the 3,000 FPS barrier. The wonderful .257 Roberts followed in about 1930 but due to older guns was never loaded to its full potential until recently. The slightly faster 25-06 Remington has a large following and a very capable round for most medium game at long ranges. Roy Weatherby’s .257 Weatherby Magnum was his favorite and is capable of taking any North American game with the right bullet. Premium 110 grain bullets can be pushed to 3,600 FPS making this a viable cartridge for Deer and Prong Horn easy at 500 yards. One of the nice things about all the .257 caliber rounds is the light relative recoil compared to their killing power and they are usually all very accurate. Those who have used them, tend to love them. There are some great accurate and economical bullets from Hornady, accurate bullets from Sierra, premium tough bullets from Nosler and Swift. Take you choice and match your bullet to your game.
